The Pickled Duck cafe on the Quay in Derry is in a wonderful location overlooking the Foyle. The seafood chowder was lovely, and there is something to suit everyone on the menu. The lunch menu starts at 1pm. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Great location with tasty food. Only thing I would want to change is more syrup with the pancakes .

I have visited The Pickled Ducks new location twice now, once for breakfast and once for lunch and I have to say, they were both stellar experiences. I've eaten at their cafe in the town, which is usually of a good standard but their on the Quay location is just head and shoulders above. The quality of the food and service is fantastic. Good luck in your new location

I don’t want to be dramatic but the seafood chowder may have changed my life we were visiting a friend in Derry and stumbled across the pickled duck, so many lovely dishes to choose from but luckily for me I took a punt on the chowder and OMG it was phenomenal. I am happily married but I would’ve run away with the chef that made it, it was that good! I was only disappointed that I was so lovely and full that I couldn’t take advantage of the spectacular cakes on offer….but there’s always next time

My eggs Benedict was amazing with the pulled ham. However others in my party said the food was alright. Pancakes were quite over cooked and tough to cut. Fry ups were average.

This was our first time visiting this particular Pickled Duck café, and I must say that we were pleasantly impressed! We really like The Pickled Duck at Shipquay Place, so we were surprised to happen across this new location while looking for somewhere to eat a late lunch. First impressions were really good -- the lady serving us was happy, bright, chatty, and made us laugh as she chased a pigeon away from our table. She was knowledgeable about the menu, and recommended the Asian Salad as a side, which was lovely. We chose to sit outside under the shelter despite the cold and rainy weather. There were soft warm blankets draped over every chair for customers to use, so we were very cosy as we looked out over the Foyle and listened to the rain, wrapped up and contented. The food came quickly, and we were both incredibly happy with the quality, taste, and service. We polished off our meals in no time, and then sat back to soak up the atmosphere while I finished my pot of tea. The bathroom was very clean, the bin wasn't overflowing with handtowels, and there was plenty of soap. Honestly can't wait to be back and see what else they have on offer!
